A bright and emotional wedding at The Little Angel pub in Henley-on-Thames

Nick and Claire are friends with a couple I shot for absolutely yonks ago, I find so much of my wedding work nowadays are some past client referrals, it’s really nice to have the chance for a catch up old clients! Henley-on-Thames is a gorgeous little town on a river that I’ve coxed through back in my uni days but this was my first time visiting it properly by land! Claire got ready with their two mega cute kids, and I went across to Henley Town Hall a tad earlier to shoot some of the giant orange balloons which Claire was very proud of! A signature part of my photography style is humorous framing so to say I went to town with the orange balloons is probably an understatement! Nick is a super emotional guy and wept a lot during the ceremony which was so endearing and set off his mum and sister. After the ceremony all the guests took the short walk through the scenic town to The Little Angel pub, which has mini hot air balloons hanging from the ceiling. They also have the perfect beer garden for the excellent sunny weather Claire and Nick were blessed with! Everyone was called to dinner and the first speeches were announced by one of the wedding guests in a bowler hat bow tie ringing a bell, which surprised and delighted everyone! After dinner the sun still hadn’t set so the guests headed back out to enjoy the balmy weather, before the DJ (and Nick’s mum!) kicked off the dance floor in style!
