Simon and Petra are a lovely couple who really valued photography and wanted to see lots and lots of relaxed and natural photos of their friends and family having a great time. Petra LOVES the colour pink and is really into bright and happy colours, so they had a rainbow and hearts themed wedding. They DIY’d a lot of the wedding, Petra made button and brooch bouquets in every colour of the rainbow for each of her bridesmaids, as well as a mega heavy white and red brooch and button bouquet for herself. Make sure you check out Petra’s rainbow and hearts nails which took 3 hours to paint! Simon looked absolutely dapper in his contrasting white and black outfit, complete with black bowtie and pocket square and black shoes with white piping.
The ceremony was a simple one at the Andover registry office, whilst the reception venue was at a community centre that they decorated with lots of rainbow balloons and decor and most importantly lots of photos of themselves and loved ones. The food was traditional and homemade, lots of meat and rice with beans, which I can’t deny I thoroughly personally enjoyed! Simon and Petra were so easy to shoot for the couple shots because they were naturally a very intimate, emotional and happy couple. The speeches were very emotional for many in the room, but that was quickly followed up by the party time, which they had told me beforehand was one of the most important parts of the day for them! I’ll stop with the typing now and just let their photos speak for themselves!!
