Grant and Chelsea had a very emotional day at the beautiful Old Bridge Hotel in Huntingdon, which I shot back last March. I will also be shooting the wedding of her lovely bridesmaid Aimi this coming March, so I look forward to seeing this couple again! The Old Bridge hotel had Roman styled decor in the ceremony room with columns, marbled floors and alfresco style light green rattan chairs. The prep room had awesome vintage Wind in the Willows wallpaper, dark wooden flooring and this cool but kind of weird bobble lines tapestry around the four poster bed that I hung Chelsea’s dress from! She wore a classic, smooth one shoulder Hollywood style gown with a beaded applique detail and had a very unique bouquet made with aloe vera and blueberries, kind of in a purple and green palette that matched the venue! She wore gold low peep toe sandals with turquoise ‘I do’ diamantes across the bottom of the shoes. Also, I know Chelsea would never forgive me if I didn’t mention the Choccywoccydoodah white chocolate wedding cake! This cute was super sweet with carved cherubs and angels all around it, sadly I didn’t get to taste it but I’m sure it was delicious!
The lead up to the ceremony and the entrance was very emotional for Chelsea, let’s just say there were a lot of tears in the prep room between her, her mum and her friends! I loved the fact that she wasn’t at all fussed about showing her emotions, she never covered her face or tried to hide her feelings. The ceremony itself involved more tears from Chelsea’s mum and all her friends who were secretly hoping I hadn’t spotted them crying! The wedding favours were little truffles and there was a sweetie table in the Mallard Room just down the stairs from the ceremony, people snacked and danced the night away down there!
