Andy and Karen are a sweet couple who found me on Rock N Roll Bride who were planning a bright and colourful DIY tastic wedding at South Farm. They started out with lots and lots of fun ideas including a family tree, but eventually settled on lots of pom poms, flowers, rustic centrepieces and blue footed booby cake toppers. The booby cake toppers are because they went to the Galapagos Island for their honeymoon, but also because it's fun to say they had boobies on their cake! Karen got ready at South Farm and wore a pale pink and white lace A line 50's dress with Irregular Choice shoes and a bird cage veil. Andy wore a blue tweed Ted Baker suit with a peacock lining (totally matching South Farm's resident white peacock) and a pink tie! Their hand fasting ceremony was outdoors next to a lily pad lake and was GORGEOUS. They'd decorated the seated area with flowers in jars and everyone had colourful flags and their rings were passed around all their guests so they could bless them together. Their hand fasting ribbons were tied by their friend and after an emotional ceremony they rode off in a blue Thai tuk-tuk!
After some chill time, we took a few couple shots in these awesome traditional gypsy caravans and with the piggys, which was a dream for me. We didn't go as far as picking up the piggys because the momma sow could be territorial, instead we all had our shoes and feet nibbled!! Their buffet dinner was held in the barn and was followed up by speeches and the first dance! Their party time was a little bit different, they opted to have Rock-oke, a mix of a live rock band and kareoke and the saw the evening out with a conga line around the courtyard!
