Clare and Kylie had the most wonderful wedding centred around everything they love- the London Olympics, craft brews, dancing and dosas! They didn't want the prep shot so I met them at the Queen Elizabeth Park in Stratford i.e. the site of the London 2012 Olympics. They played some of the London 2012 highlights pre ceremony to relive one of the best days of their lives (super Saturday!). Instead of letting all the guests sit down and then walking down the aisle, they got ready together, arrived together, chatted to everyone pre ceremony and then stood at the front and watched all their guests be seated, i.e. a reverse processional!! They got married next to the ArcerlorMittal Orbit in a personalised humanist ceremony which included a ribbon tying by all the guests. After having some drinks on the terrace everyone walked over to the Crate Brewshed through the iconic park being led by rainbow flag bearers.
At the Crate Brewshed, (which is if you hadn't guessed, a brewery!) they had Dosa waiting to serve delicious Indian canapes and dosas for their wedding meal! It was brilliantly casual, everyone just sat wherever they wanted on the benches and basically chilled out! They didn't have any formal speeches (love the fact they did everything in a way that suited them as people), so after some quick thank yous they hit the dancefloor with some crazy ceilidh times. I think about half of the wedding was fun dancing times, which explains the abundance of dancing shots in this post! An Auld Lang Syne and many beers later they brought out the Jaegercake. Basically a mountain of jaeger bombs for everyone all round. Hence me including booze as a theme description! Once everyone's physical abilities were impaired, the logical follow up was clearly to play beer pong, repping Team Clare with the reds and Team Kylie with the blue- matching their dresses!
