Jon and Susanna had a simply elegant wedding in West London that started with a ceremony at the 4* Chesterfield Hotel, before a wedding dinner at the 20th Century Theatre which is just off Portobello Road. They hired me because they really wanted a photographer who would let them carry on with their day and not make them pose too much, just capturing the naturalness of everyone- especially as Jon doesn’t like having his photo taken. I think about 95% of my clients hate having their photo taken or tell me that they look terrible in photos/are unphotogenic, but I tell them that they only feel that way because realistically only professional models are truly awesome at posing. It’s part of a professional wedding photographer’s job to put couples at ease to get the best out of them really!
Jon wore a dark suit with red spotty tie and a purple and red button hole. Susanna wore a dress from The Wedding Dress Shop in sw19 and shoes from Marta Jonsson.
After a lovely ceremony at the Chesterfield, we went to a private garden for the relaxed group and couple photos. I didn’t realise they existed but they were the perfect tranquil setting and the weather was good to us!
The 20th Century Theatre was a lovely white walled space which Jon and Susanna had decorated with beautiful floral arrangements. Everyone chatted over drinks and canapes before a series of very emotional and funny speeches!
