Sam and Dan got married at one of my favourite reception venues- The Metalworks in Islington, it's the kind of place that would make my shortlist when I get married because it's really reasonably priced for a quirky London wedding venue and it looks fantastic! Sam and Dan got ready at the same hotel, which meant I could photograph them both in the morning. Sam wore a stunning beaded Sottero and Midgley dress whilst Dan wore a smart grey suit from TM Lewin. Sam and Dan said the golden words to me in their final details questionnaire: "We would just love you to capture the love and fun of our day in your style please." By giving me free creative control and by having virtually zero formal shots I was able to spend all day focusing on getting absolute banger shots for them, (which is why this blog post is a bit longer than usual, I'm very proud of this wedding!)
After their ceremony at Stoke Newington Town Hall where their son was their ringbearer, they headed over by bus to the Metalworks which was decorated in vines, stars, books, woodland animals, overgrown garden features crossed with vintage items. For their wedding favours they donated to a music charity close to their hearts, a lovely ethical idea! Continuing the music theme they decorated the dinner room with vinyls and tulips (Sam's nickname!) As you can see in the photos, the speeches were extremely emotional, lots of tears all around the room #meltdownmick ! After the dinner and speeches loads of evening guests joined just in time for the party!
