Wooo bucket list alert! I’ve been wanting to shoot a steampunk wedding since the dawn of time (of my photography career) and Sophie and Andrew finally enabled me to tick this achievement off the listeroo! Although Sophie is gorgeous she’s also modest and didn’t really want photos of her bridal prep, so I started the day with Andrew and his groomsmen at Shustoke Farm Barns. Andrew and his groomsmen wore full steampunk outfits complete with top hats and googles, heavy steampunk boots. All in all, totally wicked. Sophie arrived looking incredible with her bright pink hair, lace and leather dress and lace trimmed googles. They asked their guests to come dressed in the steampunk theme wherever possible, which many of them took to with gusto! After the ceremony everyone had their dinner in the ceremony space where the tables were decorated with steampunk clocks, guns, hats and books, and each of the place cards contained steampunk trinket favours. Sophie and Andrew had done a fantastic job all round decorating the venue with steampunk posters, their cards table had a fab steampunk skeleton couple figurine, and their cakes were decorated with edible keys. At dinner each table had their own huge roast, which allocated guests with chef’s hats carved up! After dinner the guests enjoyed the expansive hot chocolate table and sat around chatting or dancing to classic rock choons!
