A Woodstock Festival Wedding in Essex

This awesome couple mixed the traditional with a bit of their own personalities, and got married in their local village church with a festival tipi reception afterwards! The groom is a bassist in a band, and they’re both involved in a small festival circuit so a lot of the wedding guests were musicians as well. They DIY’ed all the signs and decorated the tipi with their own furniture from their house and bits and bobs they’d collected. At the end of the wedding, they camped overnight right next to the tipi, along with some of the wedding guests and myself! Part of why I love photography is because it allows me to experience new things and meet new people, so when they asked me if I wanted to camp over with them I was like… yeah why not?! I’m always up for something interesting, next year I’ll be shooting a wedding where in the morning I’ll go for a hike with the wedding party, and then stay overnight at a gothic style hostel in a dorm with the guests!
