Phwoar. This is probably the most detail heavy wedding I've shot, and thus you'll probably see more details than my usual wedding blog posts, but there's no way I couldn't share and give credit to the amazing team behind this wedding. Allie is an American designer and she was keen for an English Country Garden Wedding. Sam is an English country boy so luckily it made perfect sense to have the wedding in Sam's family back garden! Allie got ready at holiday cottages a few minutes away with her friends and sister who had all flown in, whilst Sam got ready at home. Allie wore a Jenny Packham dress and her bridesmaids wore matching lilac dresses. Sam wore a blue suit with kraken socks. That's right. Giant squid sea monster socks. What a dude! The ceremony overlooked a beautiful lake with rolling green fields, marked by this incredible rose frame created by Jay Archer. After the ceremony they had drinks in the lounge area of the garden, which had been set up with vintage furniture and traditional lawn games and a white bouncy castle!
The dinner barn was just stunning, the THREE cakes were created by the wonderful French Made, who I cannot recommend highly enough, I tasted some cake and not only is it pretty but it's also very tasty! The barn was decorated with floral tripods, floral table runners, succulents etc. from Jay Archer. The table plan was a book shelf of books named after classic English novels, complete with white animal ornaments and more florals styled by Curious Fair! There was a vintage ice cream caravan from Sugar Mice for dessert, a firepit tent where people could utilise their wedding favours i.e. smores kit. The American contingency found it hilarious that the Brits had never tried smores and really enjoyed showing us how it's done!! Thank you to Sam and Allie and Ralph the goat for having me at your special day!
