London pub wedding venue
As a popular London wedding photographer, I’ve been to a lot of London pub wedding venues. It’s one of the best ways to choose an affordable London wedding venue. Lots of the pubs have beautifully decorated private dining spaces and are near the registry offices. The Jolly Gardeners pub is in Vauxhall in South London. The couple got married at St Mary’s Church in Battersea. The nearest registry office to the Jolly Gardeners is Lambeth Town Hall, only 14 minutes away. This couple chose me for their wedding after I shot their friend’s wedding at Hampton Court House. It was fun because the groom’s family coincidentally are from Brentwood like me. I started the day at a hired airbnb where the bride and her bridesmaids had their hair and make up done by Bex Standing Smith. The bride’s wedding dress was from Wynter Isabelle, a bridal shop in Wales. The sage green bridesmaid’s dresses were from TH & TH.
Battersea Church wedding
The wedding transport to and from the church with a white taxi hired from Lux Wedding cars. The St Mary’s Church in Battersea is a beautiful large light church with a horseshoe balcony. They had two of their friends performing their wedding music for them.
Pink petal confetti
Outside the church after the ceremony, the guests gathered to throw pink dried flower confetti on the couple. We took some group and couple photos on the steps. During this time the guests got onto the bus hired from the London Bus Group. After that everyone made their way over to the Jolly Gardeners wedding venue.

The Jolly Gardeners is a spacious South London pub with a small sheltered garden where you can hire the whole space for your wedding reception. It can seat up to 186 people for dinner with long trestle tables, and exclusive hire starts from £5000. Goldstones Flowers provided all the floral decor. John Clapper is an excellent musician who provided the drinks reception music. The couple chose a telephone guest book from Odd Audio guestbook.
