Mark and Claire had the sweetest wedding that celebrated their individuality, complete with personal nods to their shared love of retro games like Zelda and films like Studio Ghibli’s My Neighbour Totoro. Claire for ready at the incredible Pullman Hotel and wore a purple vintage lace swing A line dress and purple Irregular Choice shoes with gold cats. She wore silk watercolour butterflies in her hair and her bridesmaids had matching silk dragonflies. The bouquets were wooden tulips and daisies ties with white ribbon trails. The bride’s also wore matching dragonfly dresses with different coloured cardigans.
Check out Claire’s gorgeous petticoat and sweet cat buckles!
Claire’s necklace was the Zelda heart container…
Whilst Mark was at the Camden Registry Office with his coordinating Zelda Triforce tie pin, red tie and matching pocket square!
The ceremony was both funny and emotional, especially when the brother of the bride rick rolled his reading! The bride’s mother also gave a reading of Einstein’s Theory of Love
I love seeing a little skip down the aisle!
After the ceremony they had a confetti and bubbles send off, and we took some couple photos in St Pancras station around the Eurostar which had personal significance for them
Mark’s tan brogues look super swish with his suit!
I loved the ceiling and grey beams contrasting with the orange brick of St Pancras Station
Check out their Zelda necklace and tie pin! And Claire’s yellow and red tulips!
Their wedding reception was at The Blue Lion pub off Gray’s Inn Road in Kings Cross, North London. They decorated the venue in butterfly themed signs and mini bunting and served afternoon tea to start
They had beer bottles and beer mats customised with their names as candle holders and painted jars as tea light holders.
The wedding cake was AMAZING. It was presented on wooden tree cake table and instead of one cake they had four which were beautifully baked and decorated. The flavours were red velvet, lemon, rose and pistachio and chocolate and violet. They also had a mini bride and groom Totoro cake toppers.
There was also Nigel the Treat Donkey
The guest book was a illustration that all the guests coloured in and wrote their name on, which I thought was really original and the guests really enjoyed getting creative!
Speeches were delivered before everyone tucked into an amazing meat and cheese buffet catered for by the pub. I can guarantee it is super yummy!
The rest of the evening was spent clowning around, dancing and general fun and merriment!
