Soooo as it says in the title, don’t scroll down if your boss is at work! Secret Cinema screened the UK premiere of the Korean film The Handmaiden, which is adapted from the book The Fingersmith. It’s a romantic thriller from the director of Oldboy, it’s dark as heck and very graphic. The directing and framing are stunning and Secret Cinema created a really cool world of the master’s house, where everyone needed to be silent the ENTIRE time. It must have been such a novel and refreshing experience just to communicate through writing for hours!
