Artistic wedding photography
I’m so excited to share this London wedding! The day was absolutely perfect for my last winter wedding in 2024. I got to experience a Sir John Soanes Museum wedding, a very rare and unique London wedding venue. The couple were so kind and relaxed to shoot for, and they had the most wonderful creative home for shooting their joint bride and groom prep in. As both of them are art lovers they booked a super unique wedding reception in the Sir John Soane’s museum. They hired me for not only my relaxed style, but my ability to capture real moments in a creative way. They hired the infamous Laura Anne make up who I’ve worked with lots of times before.
I also had Laura Anne do my hair and make up for my own wedding! The bride had a green tailored wedding dress from Coco Conan. The groom ordered a perfect Casual Fitters suit. The bride gave the groom custom cufflinks made by their favourite ceramic artist, whose work hangs on their living room walls. The groom gave the bride a gorgeous Fortnum and Mason teapot.

Before their Sir John Soanes museum wedding reception the couple had a small selection of their friends and family attend their church wedding at St Etheldreda’s church. It’s a popular church for London weddings that has a very similar atmosphere to the Fitzrovia Chapel.

After the church ceremony at St Etheldreda’s church, the couple sent their friends and family to the quirky Ship Inn whilst we went to photograph our couple photos at the museum and the surrounding London streets. The gorgeous canapés and food was provided by the luxury caterers By Word of Mouth. The floristry at the reception was by Lavender Green and the stationary was supplied by Papier.
Like I said this was an amazing experience for me to shoot because I got to join and document the guests on their private museum tour. I hadn’t been to the Sir John Soanes museum before and it was SO interesting and quirky. We got the candlelight tour and I’d highly recommend it to anyone to visit day or night!
