Brighton Town Hall Wedding
Dana and Luke are a couple who booked me for their relaxed Brighton wedding after I shot their friend’s London wedding.
They wanted to have a colourful modern wedding where they didn’t strictly have a bridal party and they saw each other beforehand at the Hotel Du Vin where Dana was getting ready with Poppy Tallulah doing her hair and make up. Dana wore a gorgeous lace and tulle skirt dress from White Leaf Boutique whilst Luke wore a bespoke blue wool suit by Hugo Morris Tailors with orange detailing including a vibrant orange liner, a unique pocket square from Furious Goose. Dana carried on the blue and orange theme with stunning flowers by Leila Watts.
After a quick getting ready they walked over to their Brighton Town Hall wedding together through the streets of Brighton. There they met a small number of friends and family for their informal civil ceremony. Brighton Town Hall is one of my favourite wedding ceremony venues as I’ve always found the registrars to be brilliant!

After the ceremony we wandered around Brighton beach whilst their friends and family went ahead to set up their outdoor ceremony space on Hove Lawns.

They’d hired a steel drums band to play during their casual outdoor ceremony conducted by their friend and joined by their doggy Eva, and then after the ceremony they hung out celebrating on the lawns before walking to the Better Half Pub for their Brighton wedding reception

The Better Half Pub is a fab quirky venue space that’s perfect for a casual wedding reception with both an indoor and outdoor area. It is decorated with kooky portraits all over the walls and ceilings and has beautiful dark walls and warm lights which produce the bold colours I love to shoot! After some drinks and food the couple both gave speeches followed by the best man.
