North London bridal prep
Shooting this wedding was such a treat because the bride had been a bridesmaid at my previous Elmley Nature Reserve wedding in Kent. I knew from that wedding it was going to be amazing as I got lots of great laughing photos of this couple. What added even more to this London Never for Ever wedding is that I found out I went to the same school as the bride and her friends! I grew up in North London myself and started this London wedding day only a few minutes from my childhood home. The bride had her hair done by Fai Archer. Her Stella York wedding dress was from a bridal dress shop in Barnet, Forever Bridal. The on the day coordination was by Wedding Day Genie.

This couple decided to timeline their day the US way and have a couple photoshoot before their Camden Town Hall ceremony. We wandered around some of my favourite North London spots like Coal Drops Yard and Kings Cross. If you’re having a Camden Town Hall wedding ceremony, taking photos at St Pancras station and its iconic architecture is a must! The couple wanted to embrace nature despite having a London wedding so we visited Camley Street Natural park. We met the groom there who rocked up in an EPIC custom suit from Zebel made from African wax cotton.

Before heading to Never For Ever, a North London restaurant venue, they had their Camden Town Hall civil ceremony. Camden Town Hall is a beautiful London registry office situated right on the bustling high street. The ceremony room is light and airy, ideal for a simple modern style. It is worth knowing that the door where you exit Camden Town Hall goes straight onto a fairly narrow busy pavement. Compared to Islington Town Hall and Marylebone Town Hall, it’s not as ideal for the big group photo. If you’d like a group photo of all your guests, you’re better off trying at your reception venue.

After the Camden Town Hall wedding ceremony they got on a London bus to their Never For Ever wedding.

Never for Ever wedding
Never For Ever is a quirky London restaurant wedding venue in North London. It has a beautiful open kitchen in front of a curved bar, eclectic decor and vintage furniture. I love shooting London pub and restaurant weddings. You can check out my ultimate guide to East London pub and restaurant wedding venue here. Never For Ever has two floors. This allows them to seamlessly set up your wedding dinner on the natural light filled ground floor, whilst you hold your drinks and canapés in the basement with a record library. The couple had a cool mini print vending machine as cool unique wedding favours for their guests. The stunning bright florals were done by Fleurelly. They were brilliantly entertained by Hayley Gold, a wedding singer based in Essex. As an Essex wedding photographer it was fab to connect with a fellow local supplier. They had a telephone audio guest book.

During the drinks receptions I focus on taking natural candids of wedding guests. These are little authentic moments but I aim to frame them with purpose to elevate your wedding coverage.

After the drinks reception the guests made their way to the gorgeous ground floor dining area.

Wedding party
After dinner all the guests made their way back down to the basement to open up the dance floor with DJ Terron Murray. I’ve worked with DJ Terron Murray before, he also has the option to add a party saxophonist.

They honoured the bride’s Jewish heritage with a lifting of the groom on arms (not chairs) to make it low ceiling friendly!
