Eve and Gary had two ceremonies on their wedding day as Gary is Jewish and Eve isn’t. They started off with a civil ceremony at Islington Town Hall and then at their reception venue in Stoke Newington, Abney Public Hall, they had a Jewish ceremony with two of their friends as Rabbis. Eve got ready at their flat into an elegant Charlie Brear dress complete with Eve’s gran’s fur and vibrant red Jimmy Choos. After their short civil ceremony everyone boarded a red routemaster bus and headed to Abney Public Hall. Eve, Gary and I jumped off the bus early to take a few shots around the corner at an old Antiques courtyard. Back at Abney Public Hall four of their friends held the chuppah and another two friends conducted the ceremony. They had musicians play Israeli music during the ceremony and after Gary smashed the glass they kicked off Jewish dancing including the hora, jumping and a lot of flinging. Following this they had dinner interlaced with speeches, a coffee martini bar and the cutting of the cake which was baked by Eve’s mum. The music in the evening was brought by various DJ friends with a proper garage throwback!
