I think I'm in love with backyard garden weddings! I've been super blessed to have shot Allie and Sam's and Rachel and Mark's, the former being a floral fiesta and the latter being a close knit homely affair. Therefore, Jess and Nick's edgy rock music themed wedding was the perfect way to round off my season of garden weddings! Jess and Nick are metallers after my own heart- Jess got their wedding date tattooed on her foot, Nick plays guitar. They got married at St Mary's Lodge in a little village near Nick's family home (where the reception took place). Following the ceremony Nick's musical cousins played the piano and harmonica. Jess wore a Miss Bush Bridal dress and a floral hairpiece made for her by her friend. After the ceremony in the gorgeous grade listed building, everyone went to Nick's, where their friends set up tents to camp in that evening, a ukelele player roamed around entertaining everyone, and lawn games were enjoyed by both the kids and various adults! The long tables were decorated and named with various album covers of Nick and Jess' favourite bands, including Nirvana and Greenday. After the dinner and speeches they went straight into dancing, but the real highlight was when Nick and various guests got up and formed the band! It turns out Nick's family are very talented, with his brother swapping in on the drums for a few songs and Jess stepping up to be the Bez of the band! They also had a quick round of Greek Cypriot dancing to honour Nick's family heritage! After the band's sets Jess, Nick and I went outside to take a shot with the tipi tent and stunning stars- one of the most epic photos I've ever taken!!
