Barn wedding venue in Essex
I was absolutely honoured to be asked to photograph A + T, as T himself is a photographer so you know they can spot good and bad photography! I am a local photographer for The Barns at Lodge Farm as I live only a 30 minute drive away. It has a brilliant mix of private space- the ceremony barn where you can hold a beautifully lit rustic wedding ceremony. The outdoor area is vast and perfect for your guests having a drink at your Summer wedding. The big warehouse holds long banqueting tables to seat your guests and still have plenty of room for the band and party. There’s also a good sized prep room in the cottage. It’s also useful for storing you and your families’ things throughout the day.
Alternative Essex wedding suppliers
The bride wore a gorgeous Lucy Can’t Dance wedding dress. Lucy can’t dance is an Essex based alternative wedding dress designer. She’s a lovely person to boot with a great dress shop in Chelmsford that’s inclusive and welcoming. She’s know for her signature colourful dip dyes and beading detail. Rosehip and Wren provided the stunning dried flowers. The groom wore a cool dark green suit with a blue tie that matched the bottom of the bride’s brey/grey dip dyed dress.
You can throw confetti either inside the ceremony space of outside the barn. My couple opted to have a confetti throw inside the barn as they naturally exited and the light looked gorgeous.
Barns at Lodge Farm wedding reception
After the ceremony the brilliant and experienced venue team offered all the guests drinks. Outside you’ll find wooden tables next to rustic hay bales and solid farming equipment. There’s plenty of backdrops for nice group photos. There’s also the cool silos and a field for couple photos, and the team at The Barns at Lodge Farm wedding venue were really kind and helpful and kept an eye on the ideal sunset time for us to head out!
Big barn Lodge Farm wedding in Essex
After the drinks reception we all headed to the big barn for the sit down meal. The tables were gorgeously decorated with rustic dried flowers. The couple had their friend who runs a Fish and Chip shop provide the food for everyone.
