Asylum Chapel wedding ceremony
C + R found me through the wonderful wedding planner Emerald & Mae. This chilled out couple decided to start their photography coverage from the wedding ceremony. The London wedding ceremony was at Asylum Chapel in Peckham. R wore the most gorgeous modern dress with a feather effect skirt. I’ve photographed weddings at The Asylum Chapel many times before, so I’m always honoured to be there.
The Asylum Chapel has very unique distressed, bombed out walls. It has been have been featured in many art and music videos. You used to be able to hold both a ceremony and reception there, but now they only host ceremonies. Therefore this couple decided to hold their wedding reception at the NoMad Hotel. They hired a red London bus to transport their guests between the Asylum Chapel wedding ceremony and NoMad Hotel wedding venue.
NoMad Hotel wedding venue
The NoMad Hotel in London is a simply breathtaking new 5 star hotel. It’s located in what used to be the Bow Street’s magistrate’s court and police station. It’s a fantastic wedding reception venue if you want a moody atmosphere, with no need to decorate it. The magistrate’s ballroom room where this couple had their reception can hold 70 seated guests for dinner. A NoMad London wedding is guaranteed to look stunning with its hand painted walls depicting stormy skies.
This wedding used both the main reception room and the side bar. They had drinks in the gorgeous opulent bar area of The NoMad. The bar creates custom cocktails for you. After having elegant drinks in the bar before taking their seats for dinner in the epic dusk painted room. There were lots of personal touches for the Nomad London wedding speeches. Some of the groom’s Basque family sang a surprise song and gave the couple heritage hats. After the wedding dinner and speeches they finished with a proper dance floor.
