A winter wedding at Old Marylebone Town Hall
I started this day at one of the most popular London registry offices. The Old Marylebone Town Hall is a London wedding venue that I photograph many weddings at. However this wedding proves that every wedding is different and unique. The bride L showed up in a stunning wedding dress that was hand made by her mother-in-law. She paired this with a striking pink and red heart fluffy coat and a contrast pistachio green wedding handbag. If you’re planning a winter London wedding make sure your outerwear is a key part of your outfit! Before the wedding the bride had her hair and make up Alyse Baker and the groom’s suit was from Beggars Run, a popular wedding suit shop in Shoreditch. After their London Town hall wedding ceremony they held their wedding reception in The Banker.

Joyful Old Marylebone Town Hall ceremony
For their wedding ceremony the couple made a hilarious wedding newspaper. All the guests thoroughly enjoyed reading it beforehand. The ceremony itself was so so full of joy and laughter and tears, it was wonderful. The registrars see a lot of wedding ceremonies but I could tell they genuinely had such a nice time officiating for this couple.

Greggs Sausage rolls wedding
This couple did a morning run for a massive stash of Greggs’ sausage rolls and offered these instead of canapés! What a fun alternative to canapés for a London wedding! They ate them with fizz on the London bus to their wedding reception at The Banker.

Couple photos by the river
We were blessed with the most amazing sunset at this winter wedding. That is often the upside of winter weddings, if you’re willing to brave the cold you can see the most gorgeous light.

Wedding at The Banker pub in London
The Banker is a lovely riverside pub with a gorgeous and interesting interior. It is wood panel, brick and unique green arches and is spread across three levels. I photographed just a shorter coverage for this winter London wedding, so I left just after the speeches. I often photograph micro weddings in London, which can be two to 5 hours of wedding photography.

Wedding speeches
The wedding speeches were delivered from the top step and following that everyone sat down for their meal. As a little conversation starter and wedding activity all the guests had to draw a self portrait which the couple plan to get printed. We did this for our own wedding after seeing it at this Battersea Arts Centre wedding and I highly recommend it. We printed our guests’ self portrait doodles onto tea towels and it makes us smile every time we use the tea towel!
