Merrymeade House wedding photography
Merrymeade House is the new permanent venue for Brentwood wedding ceremonies. It is a lovely little Manor House just off the high street that also can provide small wedding lunch receptions in the Merrymeade Tea Room. The grounds are beautiful for group and couple photos following the ceremony, there’s plenty of green space.
Brentwood Town Hall
I was fortunate enough to be one of the last wedding photographers to shoot a wedding in Brentwood Town Hall, before they moved all their wedding ceremonies over to Merrymeade House. I’m a Brentwood local, and I love photographing so close to home at venues I’m extra familiar with. For this intimate wedding the couple opted to have their ceremony witnessed by a handful of friends and family, before we all headed to the infamous Alec’s restaurant.
Alec’s restaurant wedding
Alec’s restaurant is a very popular Brentwood wedding reception venue for lunch or dinner as it has the best fine dining food in the area, and a well isolated private bar and dining room upstairs of the main restaurant. The food and service is perfect for your intimate wedding lunch in Essex, and as a photographer I think it’s an amazing space to photograph in. The atmosphere and the decor is fab and the natural light is ideal for a discrete documentary photography style. They are also lucky enough to have a large outdoor green space where you can capture some family photos and couple photos so it really is a great venue for your intimate wedding. I captured some of the speeches inside the private dining room before I left the couple to enjoy their perfect wedding lunch.
Marygreen Manor Hotel wedding photography
Marygreen manor is a Tudor manor style wedding venue that is licensed to offer ceremonies and has the space for your reception. Unlike Brentwood Town Hall where you’d need to find a reception venue after the ceremony, you can have your whole Brentwood wedding at Marygreen Manor Hotel. I photographed a relaxed and fun intimate wedding with six guests. They held their ceremony in one of the rooms lined with Tudor portraits, and had drinks and mini cakes in the sunny lush courtyard.
